Game of Thrones meets Stranger in a Converse Commercial
The newest commercial for infamous shoe brand Converse now features stars from two of the most popular TV series around at the moment. Stranger Things Millie Bobby Brown and Game of Thrones Maisie Williams are two of the faces shown in the two-minute video converse commercial, which also has appearances from other outstanding young celebrities, such as model Winnie Harlow and rapper Vince Staples, all wearing converses.
The advert emulates the simplicity of the shoe brand, which is a firm favourite worn by all ages. Converse have put an unconventional spin on their new advert which is filmed in the style of a short film. By bringing together two actors from two of the most successful television shows, especially the two characters we would all love to see meet in some sort of game of thrones/stranger things mashup show, the Forever Chuck campaign has grabbed attention of audiences on all social media platforms. Nike News praised the Converse campaign, noting the brand “connects the brands street style icon with a new generation of creators.” Quoting Julien Cahn, the chief marketing officer for Converse, who stated; “Through the debut of our Forever Chuck film, we will have officially introduced our collective of exciting people, who share our brand values and are driving the spirit of youth culture forward.”

The campaign is important for this day and age as it encourages everyone to stand out and express themselves. The advert seems unscripted, with those featured in it speaking their mind. The whole advert stands out to any other, and will be a hard one to beat in the future.
