Autumn Style / Fashion Picks
Autumn style is by far one of the favourites for the female population, summer has just ended and gone are the days of simply throwing on a pair of shorts and a nice top (although living in England this can be a rare occasion) as carefree and easy as summer fashion is, autumn is the time when we can really make bold statements with what we wear. From layering to faux fur to deep autumnal colours, there are countless ways to style your autumn wardrobe. So, what are the autumnal trends that we can expect to see in the next coming months?
Head to toe red
Red has always been one of the ideal colours for Autumn/Winter time, with the many different tones of red available it has the ability to add a sense of boldness or comfort to any outfit. Red is also a colour where different its different shades suit every skin tone, looking amazing on everyone, so it’s a win-win colour for anyone to wear. Red has been featured on the Max Mara A/W 17 catwalk as a wardrobe staple, showing this colour as an everyday autumn essential.Popular high street store Zara has also shown the possibilities of layering different hues of red for an extra feminine autumn look
Suits are no longer just for the typical business man, they are also a way to add an elegant and sophisticated twist to an everyday outfit, whether this can be achieved by wearing blazer jackets or smart tailored trousers to your normal style, it brings a sense of individuality compared to the classic skinny jeans and top in the autumn months.Clothing store Mango have also released a range of suit style clothing into their new autumn/winter range, one being a flared sleeve blouse, which adds a feminine and distinctive twist on the normal bog-standard blouse.
Personally, blue isn’t a colour that I associate with Autumn, I’ve always seen it as a perfect summery colour, matching the blue skies, and if you’re away on holiday, matching the blue ocean. However, this year, blue toned clothing has made an appearance in most stores and online clothing websites. It can be predicted that many will be swapping out their warm, berry toned autumnal wardrobe for some new, dusky blue pieces.
Something different to the classic knitted jumpers that we all love to wear during Autumn and Winter time, Topshop have released a range of new go to clothing pieces in time for Autumn. This versatile top is perfect to wear with a skirt or any jeans or trousers, this blue top comes with a sleeve design to make you stand out from the other typical autumn outfits.
Urban Outfitters has created the ideal new autumn trend by combining a fluffy cardigan (an essential clothing item for the colder weather) and a dusky blue colour, straying away from the darker colours we may be inclined to reach for when it’s cold outside. This cardigan encapsulated the blue colour trend which we will be seeing a lot more of very soon.
